- You must take your picture against a white background. A white wall or sheet should suffice. Make sure that there are no patterns or shadows, and if you want to use a sheet, it must not be see-through.
- When choosing the environment in which to take your passport photo or visa photo, make sure that the lighting is adequate. It must not be too intense or too dark. Plus, to avoid having shadows on your face, choose a frontal source of light.
